Since April 2022, KAMAZ will offer its dealers K3 generation trucks with Euro-2 emission class engines. At the same time, it is still impossible to register such equipment in Russia. Trucks of Euro-2 eco-class KAMAZ still produces, but in small lots. These are mainly “dual-use vehicles”, as well as export deliveries to African and Latin American countries. In total, 1,000-1,500 such vehicles were produced in 2021, with a total volume of 44,136 trucks.

Meanwhile, despite the suspension of supplies of imported components, KAMAZ continues to manufacture vehicles of the K4 and K5 generations. So, in March, a total of 537 cars of the new model range will be produced, including 315 units of the K4 generation and 222 of the K5 generation. The plan for April for the assembly of K4 and K5 is determined in the amount of 125 units, including 55 KAMAZ-54901 tractors. In May, it is planned to produce 214 cars of the K4 generation. As noted, KAMAZ vehicles of the new model range are in demand in the Russian market, and their shipment to the dealer network continues, however, the stock of components is still the limiting factor in production.

Therefore, today the main efforts of the company are aimed at localizing imported components and working with alternative Russian suppliers. As Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ, stated, the task of the enterprise is to start the assembly of K5 vehicles from January 2023 without the participation of foreign partners. The initial volume of produced trucks will be small, but the company does not plan to abandon the promising line of vehicles, in the development of which a lot of money and time have been invested.
