The rise in the price of new cars in early spring was 20% to 30% in average. Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" came to this conclusion after the results considering of the relevant monitoring of the website "Auto Price" for the period from March 1st to March 15th, 2022. Thus, among automakers officially represented in the Russian market, an increase in the cost of cars (cars and LCVs) was noted at 20. Of course, each brand's products have risen in price in different ways, but the average estimate allows us to judge a rise in price by 20 - 30%.

At the same time, a number of brands (over 10) have removed price information from their websites. The same companies that raised car prices did so for almost the whole lineup. Thus, since March 1st, AVTOVAZ has increased the cost of its products by of 15% in average. And since March 16th, prices for LADA cars have grown by other 3-15% (depending on the model). In early March, Korean manufacturers also rewrote the price tags, as a result of which the whole Hyundai lineup became more expensive by 14-30%, and Kia - by 10-21%.

The "Japanese" did not stand aside either. For example, Toyota cars received a price increase from 10% to 26%, Nissan - from 29% to 41%, Mitsubishi - from 25% to 35%, Mazda - 22%. In European brands, a significant increase in prices was recorded for the products of Renault (from 35% to 42%), Peugeot (from 35% to 50%), Citroen (from 27% to 43%) and Opel (from 35% to 50%). And among the "Chinese", Chery (from 15% to 25%) and EXEED (from 12% to 18%) have been noted for this so far. It also became known about the intention of Haval to increase the cost of cars by 40 - 50%. As for premium brands, German BMW raised the prices of its cars by 8-24%, and the Japanese Lexus by 12-24%.

According to agency experts, the rapid rise in prices is largely due to the consequences of the military special operation that Russia is conducting in Ukraine (a serious depreciation of the ruble, the suspension of deliveries or production of cars, etc.).
