Premium car sales fell by 14% in February of 2022

In the previous winter month, the Russians became the owners of 9.6 thousand new premium cars. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" by the results of processing the relevant information*, this is 14% lower than in February 2021. The top lines of the rating of premium brands are occupied by the "Big German Three". BMW is the leader there - the residents of the Russian Federation bought 2830 cars of the Bavarian brand the previous month (-24% in compare with February 2021).

The second place was kept by Mercedes-Benz (2497 units; -10%), the third position was taken by Audi (894 units; -41%). The Japanese brand Lexus lags behind them a little - in February its result was 881 purchased cars, by showing a fall of 32%. The TOP-5 of the Russian premium segment is finished this time by the Swedish Volvo, the figure of which was 679 units, which is 33% higher than a year ago. By the way, along with Volvo, Genesis (5.8 times), Infiniti (+49%), MINI (+7%) and Jaguar (+22%) also saw the market growth. All other premium brands saw a decline in February 2022, and it was the lowest falling for the American Cadillac (-45%).
