Kia reduced the sales by 9% in Russia in February 2022

Russian Kia dealers sold 15,001 vehicles in February, which is 9% lower than a year before. For the first two months of 2022, 27,322 Kia vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 13% lower than in the same period of the previous year. As a result, Kia keeps the leadership among foreign automakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand was 13.3% in compare with 14.7% a year before, according to the AEB. Rio remains Kia's bestseller in the Russian market – 7893 cars of this family were sold in February (-10%).

The second place in terms of sales in the Kia line was taken by the Seltos compact crossover, which was chosen by 1,550 buyers (+28%). The third result was shown by the Sportage crossover - 1368 cars (-37%).

As previously reported by AUTOSTAT, in February at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, the production of the fifth generation Kia Sportage crossover began, the premiere of which in Russia is expected in the second quarter of this year.
