Sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia in February fell by 4.8% to 114,349 vehicles. According to the results of the first two months of 2022, the Russian car market was 206,011 vehicles (-4.3%), according to the data of the Association of European Businesses. Leadership in the Russian car market is held by the LADA brand, the sales of which decreased by 21% the previous month and reached 22,378 cars.
The second place in terms of sales is kept by Kia – sales of 15,001 cars (-9%) provided the Korean brand with the leadership in the foreign car market. The third place is occupied by Hyundai with 13,761 sold cars, which is 1% lower than a year ago. This is followed by Renault – cars of this brand were chosen by 10,382 buyers (+2%). Toyota finishes the top five, the sales of which decreased by 1% and reached 7568 cars.
The TOP-10 of best-selling brands in February also included Volkswagen (5,631 units, -18%), Skoda (5,438 units, -23%), Nissan (4,192 units, -12%), GAZ (3,791 units, +17%) and Haval (3,569 units, +65%).
