What cars are the most popular in the brand origin structure?

2021 was marked by rising prices and a shortage of new cars at dealers. But, for example, Chinese brands have doubled their share in the passenger car market, and now it exceeds 7%. Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" also determined what part of our market is occupied by other brands, depending on the country of origin. And at the same time we found out which model is the leader of each segment at the end of 2021. It turned out that most of all new passenger cars of European brands are sold in our country - 28.7% of the total. And approximately one in ten is a Volkswagen Polo liftback (10.6%). "Koreans" are following with a 24.5% market share. At the same time, Kia Rio family accounts for 22.1% there. Even more “charismatic” is the “Russian sector” of the market (23.1%), about a third of which is occupied by LADA Vesta (32.1%).

Recall that it was Vesta that became the best-selling car in Russia the previous year. But the “Chinese”, which has grown sharply the previous year, occupied a market share of 7.5%. And the most popular model is Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. Its share in the segment is comparable with the share of the European leader and accounts for 12.2% of all new Chinese sold cars.
