Bosch has suspended the deliveries of spare parts to Russia

German company Bosch, the world's leading supplier of spare parts for the automotive industry, has stopped the deliveries of parts to Russia. The Association of Distributors of Automotive Components informed (ADAK). In turn, the Russian Bosch office said that the company continues to fulfill its obligations to supply goods, "as far as possible." “The situation is changing rapidly, we are monitoring developments and adjusting our work to reflect changing circumstances,” the company’s press service informed. Meanwhile, according to the Association of Automotive Components Distributors (ADAK), most of the major auto parts manufacturers have stopped the delivery of products to Russia, which is associated with a sharp depreciation of the ruble, uncertainty about the prospects for working in the Russian market and problems with logistics.

The problem with the termination of the supply of spare parts was confirmed by official car dealers in Russia, as well as sources in large car companies. According to market participants, stocks of spare parts will last for 1-2 weeks, after which there will be a shortage in the country. “Supplies to Russia have been stopped. Large suppliers of auto parts do not ship their usual range to their partners and contractors. It is unprofitable to sell them at current prices,” said ADAK director, Alexei Pevkhenen. According to the expert, if the supply problem is not resolved promptly, then already in March-April, difficulties will begin with the purchase of the most popular consumables. These are oil and air filters, brake pads, discs, shock absorbers, suspension elements.

Moreover, even now the majority of distributors have increased sharply their prices: 1.5-2 times. “Sellers do not know when supplies will be resumed, so they will sell what they have with maximum margin,” ADAK said.
