KAMAZ increased the production by 85% in January of 2022

KAMAZ, which abandoned its traditional corporate vacation in January due to an increase in orders this year, increased the production by 85% in the first month of 2022, by producing 3,406 trucks. At the same time, the business plan was overfulfilled by 117 produced vehicles, the press service of KAMAZ reports.

In 2022, KAMAZ intends to increase the production and sales of vehicles by approximately 2.3% year-on-year, up to 45,000 units, including 6,000 vehicles planned to be exported. As previously reported by AUTOSTAT, in February 2022, KAMAZ began the sales of a new medium-duty family of trucks Compass. The new KAMAZ project starts with two models: Compass-9 with a gross weight of 9.5 tons and Compass-12 with 11.99 tons. These are trucks of a delivery class, designed to work in the city and suburbs, and can be used in intercity transportation.

In the second half of 2022, KAMAZ plans to bring to the market a more compact and lighter Compass-5 model with a gross weight of 5.5 tons. In addition, KAMAZ is currently completing the operational tests of the new generation K5 KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65951 vehicles, these are heavy-duty dump trucks with single tires, sales of which should begin in 2022.
