Are Russians ready to buy a car in 2022?


Used electric cars: in which regions are they bought most often?


Among all subjects of the Russian Federation, the most used electric cars are bought by residents of the Irkutsk region. Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" came to this conclusion after analyzing the relevant information* on the secondary market for 2021. So, the previous year, 864 used electric vehicles were purchased in the Irkutsk region, which is 9.5% of the total Russian volume.

According to this indicator, the region is ahead of Moscow, which is in the second position in the rating with a score of 724 units (share - 8%). The top-three is finished by Primorsky Territory (683 units; 7.5%). The share barrier of 7% was also overcome by the Krasnodar Territory, the residents of which purchased 674 used electric cars for the whole previous year.

It is followed by the Moscow region (532 units), which already accounts for less than 6%. In addition to the above regions, the TOP-10 in terms of purchases of used electric vehicles in 2021 also included: Khabarovsk Territory (437 units), Novosibirsk Region (404 units), St. Petersburg (398 units), Krasnoyarsk Territory (259 units) and Sverdlovsk region (210 units). Recall that at the end of the previous year, Russians bought 9,070 used electric cars, which is 69% higher than in 2020.
