Hyundai increased sales by 4% in Russia in January of 2022


Russian Hyundai dealers sold 11,356 cars in January, which is 4% higher than a year before. As a result, Hyundai ranked the third in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand was about 12.4% against 11.5% a year before, according to the AEB. According to the press service of Hyundai Motor CIS, the Hyundai Solaris sedan became the brand's bestseller the previous month; its sales grew by 41% and reached 4898 cars. The Hyundai Creta compact crossover ranks the second by popularity with 4,153 sold cars (-27%).

Business sedan Hyundai Sonata in January found 740 buyers - twice as many as a year before. This is followed by the fourth-generation Tucson crossover, with sales of 607 vehicles (-47%). The Elantra sedan finishes the top five of Russian bestsellers of Hyundai, the result of which was 497 sold cars (an increase of 7.6 times). As AVTOSAT previously reported, in 2022 Hyundai will present five new products on the Russian market. So, in the near future, Russian dealers will have a new Staria minivan, which will replace the previous generation of the H-1 model.

Also in the first quarter, Hyundai Creta and Tucson crossovers will receive a sports version of the N-Line. Approximately in the middle of 2022, the Ioniq 5 electric crossover will enter the Russian market. And by the end of the year, a restyled full-size Hyundai Palisade crossover will reach our country.
