NEFAZ set a new production record in 2021

Neftekamsk Automobile Plant has set a new production record: according to preliminary data from economic services, the volume of shipment of marketable products in 2021 was 33 billion 312 million rubles. In particular, 1,787 passenger buses, 339 electric buses, 1,457 semi-trailer and 1,627 trailer vehicles, 8,096 special superstructures, including 7,551 dump trucks, and 249 shift cabins were shipped. At the same time, the share of prototypes of new models in the volume of shipped commercial products was 9.1%, the press service of the automaker reports.

As noted, for more than three years KAMAZ equipment has been making a great contribution to improve the environmental situation in the Russian capital, where over 700 KAMAZ-6282 electric buses assembled at NEFAZ and the assembly plant at the Sokolnichesky Car Repair and Construction Plant in Moscow have been delivered. As previously reported by AUTOSTAT, KAMAZ included previously in the business plan for 2022 the production of 450 electric buses and plans to take part in a new tender for their supply to Mosgortrans. In addition, the engineers of KAMAZ Scientific and Technical Center are constantly working to improve the consumer characteristics of the electric bus and have already implemented a number of improvements aimed at improving the quality of service and passenger comfort.

Also, the company has developed an articulated model of an electric bus (“accordion”) - at the moment it is undergoing test operation in Moscow on the T34 route. Upon successful completion of the test drive, the city plans to buy such vehicles to work on routes with high passenger traffic.
