Geely more than tripled sales in Russia in January of 2022


Russian Geely dealers sold 1,863 cars in January, which is 3.4 times higher than the previous year. The best-selling Geely model in the Russian market last month was Coolray compact crossover with 783 sold vehicles (an increase of 7.4 times), the press service of the automaker reports. The second place in popularity was taken by the new Geely Atlas Pro crossover, the sales of which were 416 cars. This model became the first car in the mass segment with “mild hybrid” technology, and since January 2022, Geely Atlas Pro has received a new affordable modification in the Russian market with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 177 hp, a 6-speed automatic transmission gears and front wheel drive.

Atlas crossover finishes the top three of Geely bestsellers, which was chosen by 367 buyers (+18%). As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in the second half of 2022, Geely plans to start the sales in Russia of a new medium-sized crossover Monjaro, which was first presented at the Shanghai Motor Show 2021 under the working designation KX-11, and is sold in the Chinese market under the name Xingyue L. With this model, Geely will enter the D-SUV segment in the Russian market for the first time.
