Mercedes-Benz increased sales by 11% in Russia in 2021

Russian dealers of Mercedes-Benz sold 43,011 cars and SUVs with a three-pointed star in 2021, which is 11% higher than a year before. According to the press service of Mercedes-Benz Rus, the GLE crossover (including the GLE Coupe) with a total sales volume of 9,382 vehicles has become the German brand's bestseller in our country.

This is followed by the E-Class (incl. CLS), GLC (incl. GLC Coupe) and GLS SUVs. Mercedes-Benz V-Class, the sales of which reached 1803 cars, is the No. 1 luxury class minivan in the Russian market. As noted, high sales growth and a new record were recorded in the upper segment of the model range - Mercedes-AMG (+45%), S-Class, incl. Mercedes-Maybach, coupe and convertible, SL, GT (+57%) and GLS, incl. Mercedes-Maybach (+59%).

At the end of December, Mercedes-Benz introduced its first all-electric EQS sedan in Russia, which will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022. In addition, in the spring of 2022, Russian dealers are expected to have a Mercedes-AMG SL roadster equipped with a bi-turbo 4-liter AMG V8 engine. And in the summer, a new electric sports sedan of the EQE business class will enter the Russian market.
