Production of LADA Niva Legend was suspended for an indefinite period

On January 27th AvtoVAZ suspended the production of LADA Niva Legend cars for an indefinite period due to a shortage of electronic components. And we are talking about both the five-door and three-door versions of this model.

Thus, only LADA Niva Travel SUVs leave this assembly line so far. Meanwhile, according to the public Avtograd News, AVTOVAZ is preparing minor improvements for the LADA Niva Legend, which, in particular, will receive felt fender liner on all wheel arches, a one-piece molded tufted floor carpet, new plastic lining on the interior part of the threshold and an electric headlight corrector instead of a hydraulic one. Serial production of LADA Niva Legend 3D should start in the next 2-3 months. The company does not comment officially on this information. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, at the end of 2021, sales of LADA Niva Legend in the Russian market fell by 11% to 25,827 cars.

It is worth noting that in September 2021, LADA dealers received an updated SUV LADA Niva Bronto, created on the basis of the three-door Niva Legend in the maximum configuration.
