For the whole previous year, the market volume of new buses in Russia was 13.6 thousand units, by showing an increase of 3.7% in compare with 2020. This conclusion was made by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" in the course of processing the relevant data of JSC "Electronic Passport". In the brand structure of this market, the domestic brand PAZ holds the lead.
Its share in the total volume was almost 56%, which corresponds to 7.6 thousand units (+19.8%). The second place in the rating was taken by LIAZ - for 12 months of last year, 1.8 thousand new buses of this brand were purchased in our country, and, unlike the leader, its dynamics is negative (-27.4%). NEFAZ finishes the top three with a score of 1.6 thousand units (+5.2%). In addition to them, the TOP-5 of the most popular bus brands for 2021 also included the Belarusian MAZ (481 units; -30.6%) and the Chinese Yutong (348 units; +27%).
The agency's experts also note that in December, the market of new buses in our country grew much stronger than in the whole year. Thus, in the first month of winter, its volume was 2.7 thousand units, which is 56.3% higher than in December of 2020.
