UAZ increased the production by 17% in 2021

According to the results of 2021, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant produced 41,442 vehicles, which is 16.7% higher than the previous year. The flagship UAZ Patriot off-road vehicle remained the most popular model in the conveyor of the enterprise the last year, the production of which grew by 10% and reached 15,346 vehicles. At the same time, a third of this amount fell on versions with an automatic transmission, the UAZ press service reports.

It is also worth noting the commercial model UAZ "Profi", the production of which has almost doubled to 4996 units. Last year, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant reduced the sales in Russia by 11% to 32,420 vehicles. As a result, the share of UAZ in the Russian market was 1.9% against 2.3% a year before, according to the AEB. The best-selling UAZ model remains the Patriot SUV, which was chosen by 13,057 buyers (-22%).

Among light commercial vehicles, UAZ is still the leader of the UAZ SGR family with 11,884 sold cars (-9%). The UAZ Profi light truck sold 3,819 units, which is 42% better than for 2020.
