Hyundai will present five new products in Russia in 2022

Hyundai will introduce five new products to the Russian market in 2022. Aleksey Kalitsev, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor CIS, said that in the near future Russian dealers will have a new minivan Staria, which will replace the previous generation of the H-1 model. Also in the first quarter, Hyundai Creta and Tucson crossovers will receive a sports version of the N-Line. Approximately in the middle of 2022, the Ioniq 5 electric crossover will enter the Russian market.

And by the end of the year, a restyled full-size Hyundai Palisade crossover will reach our country. As for the Genesis brand, the next-generation G90 flagship executive sedan will go on sale in the first half of the year. At the end of 2021, Russian Hyundai dealers sold 167,331 cars, which is 3% higher than a year before. As a result, Hyundai ranked the third in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand was about 10.3%, according to the AEB. The brand's bestseller was Hyundai Creta compact crossover with 68,081 sold cars the previous year (-7%).

It is worth noting that sales of the second generation Creta started in the Russian market in July. The second most popular sedan is Hyundai Solaris sedan, the sales of which grewq by 24% and reached 61,061 vehicles. Hyundai Santa Fe crossover, which has been available in Russia in an updated version since February 2021, found 12,071 buyers (+45%) at the end of the previous year. This is followed by the Hyundai Tucson crossover, sales of which were 11,120 units (-50%), while the fourth generation of this model entered the Russian market in June.

The top-5 of Russian Hyundai bestsellers is still finished by business sedan Sonata, the result of which was 3,642 sold cars (-39%).
