TOP-10 of best-selling SUVs in Russia in 2021

According to the results of 2021, Hyundai Creta compact crossover, which changed the generation last summer, remained the bestseller in the SUV segment in the Russian market in 2021. Last year, sales of this model were 68,081 vehicles that is 7% lower than a year ago, according to the data of the Association of European Businesses. LADA Niva SUV family is the next, which sold 51,242 units (+28%).

The third place was taken by Renault Duster crossover with 41471 cars sold (+31%). The fourth result was shown by the crossover Toyota RAV4 – 38,441 cars, which is 6% higher in compare with the previous year. Volkswagen Tiguan finishes the top-five of the most popular SUVs in Russia this time, its sales were 29,232 cars (-11%). The TOP-10 of bestsellers in the SUV segment in 2021 also included Kia Sportage (24,969 units, -11%), Nissan Qashqai (20,474 units, -7%), Mazda CX-5 (19,828 units, -1%), Skoda Karoq (19,487 units, +25%) and Nissan X-Trail (19,010 units, -6%).

We also add that in 2021 the SUV segment in the Russian car market continued to grow and took a record share of 47.3%, according to AEB estimates.
