AVTOVAZ announced the release of a special Black version for the LADA Niva Travel SUV, which will be the first novelty for the brand in 2022 and will go on sale before the end of this winter. The price of the novelty has not been announced yet, but it can be assumed that the increase relative to the Comfort version (937 thousand rubles) will be 15-20 thousand rubles, writes the Autoreview publication. Recall that the classic Niva Legend, XRAY Cross, Vesta Cross and Vesta SW Cross already have a “black” special version.
LADA Niva Travel Black is based on the Comfort package with one airbag, air conditioning, audio preparation and heated front seats. Such Niva Travel has black exterior mirror housings, wheel arches and bumpers, and in the Black version, alloy wheels are also painted in this color. In addition, roof rails have been added (initially they are in more expensive versions) and nameplates with the name of the configuration on the window frames of the rear doors. Salon LADA Niva Travel Black is distinguished by original seat upholstery with diamond-shaped stitching, black ceiling and standard textile floor mats.
Regardless of the version, Niva Travel is equipped as standard with a permanent all-wheel drive system with a mechanical center differential lock and a reduction gear. Under the bonnet of a SUV, a 1.7-liter engine with 80 hp is installed. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, at the end of 2021, sales of LADA Niva Travel SUV in the Russian market grew by 28% and reached 25,415 vehicles.
