Thus, the share of the SUV segment in the Russian capital was 55% of the total volume of car sales. Exactly the same result was recorded in the Moscow region. In St. Petersburg, which finishes the top three of largest regional car markets in the country, the share of SUV sales is even higher - 57%. Recall that in Russia as a whole, crossovers and SUVs were 51% of all new passenger sold cars. At the same time, in 44 regions this indicator exceeds the all-Russian one and its highest value is noted in Kamchatka and Sakhalin - 89%.

In 41 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the share of the SUV segment is no more than a half of the total sales, and it is least of all in Chechnya and Ingushetia - 24%. In other words, only every fourth sold car in these republics is a crossover or SUV.
