Hyundai certified Staria minivan for Russia

Hyundai has certified the new Staria minivan for the Russian market, having received a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the model. Dealers are expected to launch the new product, which premiered last spring, in the first quarter of 2022. According to the document published in the Rosstandart database, a car with a 177-horsepower 2.2-liter turbo diesel and a 249-horsepower gasoline 3.5-liter V6 will appear in Russia.

The motors are combined with 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmissions, front and all-wheel drive. For the Russian market, 7- and 8-seater passenger versions, as well as an all-metal cargo van, are certified. The list of standard equipment of the model includes electric heated exterior mirrors, a tire pressure monitoring system and an anti-theft device, and optional climate control, heated windshield, a multimedia system and a maximum speed limiter. Hyundai Staria will be supplied to the Russian market from the plant in the South Korean Ulsan.

The Staria minivan, which will replace the previous generation of the H-1 model, has a streamlined design that features a curved silhouette, as well as clear and minimalist body shapes. The front of the vehicle stands out thanks to the long horizontal strip of daytime running lights and the headlamp cluster underneath. Large panoramic windows and a low glazing line emphasize the free space in the interior. The model is equipped with a variety of driver-oriented features.
