Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant plans to start the sales of UAZ Patriot and Pickup models in the United States in March the next year. This is stated in the official message of the company in social networks. The Patriot SUV will be available for purchase in the Bremach 4x4 version, which corresponds to the Lux Premium two-pedal modification for the Russian market.
This car was already shown to the local public at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall. The car at the motor show was demonstrated by the Italian-American company Bremach, which became the official distributor of UAZ in the USA. The SUV is equipped with the same 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine (the domestic version of the engine develops 150 hp) and a French-made PunchPowerglide 6-speed automatic transmission. It is expected that the cars will differ from the Russian version in the special settings of some nodes, as well as modified algorithms for the operation of on-board electronics.
Car prices in the US start at $ 26.4 thousand. At the same time, Bremach provides a guarantee for the SUV for 5 years or 60 thousand miles (96.5 thousand km). Moreover, the warranty is valid according to the "bumper to bumper" scheme, that is, it applies to the entire car. As for the UAZ "Pickup" for the US market, it costs more - from $ 27,882. The company noted that they are planning a separate premiere of this model, which will take place the next spring.
