UzAuto Motors suspends the acceptance of applications for Chevrolet cars

Uzbek automaker UzAuto Motors has suspended the accepting of applications for the supply of Chevrolet Nexia, Spark, Cobalt and Lacetti vehicles. This was due to logistical problems in ports and on rail routes, as well as interruptions in the supply of semiconductors around the world.

In these conditions, the company decided temporarily, for the period from December 20, 2021 to February 1, 2022, to focus all its efforts on the production of pre-ordered cars. Russian UzAuto dealers report that you can buy only what is now available in the "show rooms". In turn, Sergei Burgazliev, an independent consultant for the auto industry, believes that such problems can be a serious blow for the Uzbek Company.

Recall that sales of Chevrolet mass segment cars resumed in the Russian market in June the previous year after an almost five-year break - under a special agreement between General Motors and UzAuto Motors, and Keles Rus became their distributor in our country. Today the Chevrolet lineup of the mass segment is represented in Russia by three models - the compact sedans Cobalt and Nexia, as well as the Spark subcompact hatchback.
