The President of AVTOVAZ spoke about the new LADA products in 2022

AVTOVAZ will present several new products in 2022, and at least one of them will be produced at the company's Izhevsk plant. This was announced by the president of AVTOVAZ Nicolas Maure, however, the specific names of the new LADA models did not specify. “I can say that the characteristics, options and quality of these models will be an order of magnitude higher than today's level. This is especially true for so-called connected services.

You already know about the Enjoy, Enjoy Pro and LADA Connect systems. But with the release of new models, we will reach a new level, we will take a step up,” said the head of AVTOVAZ. Obviously, we are talking, in particular, about the restyled LADA Vesta, since this particular model is produced at the facilities of the Izhevsk plant - it is expected to be on sale in the spring of next year. Recall that at the beginning of 2021, Renault Group presented a new strategic plan called Renaulution, which involves the merger of the Russian LADA and the Romanian Dacia into one business unit. This is intended to strengthen the production synergies between brands by leveraging the highly competitive and flexible CMF-B platform combined with a high level of localization.

AVTOVAZ and Dacia together will produce more than 1 million vehicles on the basis of CMF-B annually, by moving from four platforms to one by 2025 and reducing the number of body types from 18 to 11. According to the plan, AVTOVAZ plans to present five new products in the next five years and the first of them will be the restyled LADA Vesta.
