Export of passenger cars grew by 42% in January-October of 2021

The export of passenger cars from Russia for ten months of 2021 grew by 42.3% and reached 73.2 thousand units for a total amount of $ 1 billion 159 million, according to the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia. At the same time, 6.8 thousand cars were sent to foreign markets in October (-2.6% against September) for $ 97.4 million.

The export of trucks in January-October grew by 11.5% and reached 10.5 thousand vehicles for $ 272.6 million. In October, 1.3 thousand trucks were delivered abroad (+ 30.8% versus September) for $ 32.8 million. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant resumed its presence on the Angola market in November, where sales of the flagship UAZ Patriot SUV began. In addition, GAZ Group has begun the sales in Bulgaria of a GAZelle NN commercial vehicle with a total weight of 3.5 tons.
