Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the passenger car market in Russia. It covered both new cars, and used ones, and in all federal districts of the country. Experts informed how Russians can buy a car in Belarus

Russian citizens who have been denied the sale of a new car in Belarusian dealerships can alternatively make a purchase for a relative or acquaintance with local citizenship. As the RIA Novosti agency writes with reference to the Romir study, one of the reasons why Russians are ready to go to a neighboring country for a car is the opportunity to buy it without additional equipment.

According to the obtained data, in Russia, in 39% of cases, it is offered a car with an extra charge for it. “There is no such problem in Belarus. Dealerships of almost all brands offered a car from stock or on order without any additional equipment installed,” the survey says. We will remind, earlier car dealers in Belarus told about the ban on sales of new cars to customers from Russia. It is to this market that Russian buyers have switched to save money on new cars purchase and not pay extra for expensive imposed options. In turn, the Russian Association of Auto Dealers (ROAD) assured that they do not have information about the agreement between Russian and Belarusian dealers on the introduction of a ban on the sale of cars to Russians.

“We consider such agreement to be impossible in a competitive market,” the ROAD said. Meanwhile, the car market in Belarus depends strongly on the Russian car market in terms of deliveries of new cars, as through official, so unofficial distribution channels, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency noted.
