AVTOVAZ plans to raise again the prices for LADA from December 1st, 2021

AVTOVAZ intends to increase the prices for its models from December 1st, 2021. Thus, this will be the seventh massive increase in prices for LADA since the beginning of this year. LADA Granta model (except for modifications with manual control) will rise in price by 7 thousand rubles, XRAY and Niva Legend - by 8 thousand rubles, Niva Travel - by 9 thousand rubles, Vesta, XRAY Cross and Largus - by 10 thousand rubles.

Also, the price of VIS commercial vehicles will increase by 8-10 thousand rubles. Earlier the head of the Rostech state corporation Sergei Chemezov said that AVTOVAZ plans to keep the price of LADA cars lower than that of foreign competitors. According to him, AVTOVAZ in its pricing policy is guided, among other things, by the price dynamics of LADA's closest competitors - Korean Hyundai and Kia. “We do not invent all these figures ourselves, they are provided by the market. Global inflationary processes are underway. This means rising prices for almost all raw materials: steel, plastics, metals and electronic components.

AVTOVAZ has so far managed to keep prices at the most moderate level. Then everything will depend on the prices of raw materials and the market situation. Even if an increase occurs, I am sure that it will be a moderate price correction. It will not harm the competitive advantages of LADA vehicles,” Mr.Chemezov noted. As AUTOSTAT reported earlier, in October AVTOVAZ sold 25,573 LADA vehicles in the Russian market, which is 31% lower than a year before. According to the results of ten months of 2021, Russian dealers of LADA sold 294,422 cars, which is 11% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

As a result, the market share of LADA since the beginning of the year was 22.4% against 22.3% a year before, according to the AEB.
