What cars are the most common in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region?

In St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the most common brand of passenger cars, as well as in Russia as a whole, is the domestic LADA. And which models are leading in the fleets of both regions - this was established by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT". According to the agency, by mid-2021, the fleet of passenger cars in St. Petersburg was 1.7 million units. Moreover, every seventh copy belongs to the LADA brand (236 thousand units). But among the models, the most common is Ford Focus with 45.6 thousand cars. Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Solaris are the next in the rating, with practically equal results (40.5 thousand and 40.4 thousand units, respectively).

The fourth place in the St. Petersburg car fleet is occupied by Kia Rio (39.4 thousand units), and the fifth - by Skoda Octavia (33.7 thousand units). In the Leningrad region 573 thousand passenger cars are registered. A quarter of this amount falls to the LADA brand, which corresponds to 146 thousand units. And in the model rating, the representative of the domestic brand - LADA 2107 also dominates, with a result of 18.4 thousand cars. The second position belongs to Ford Focus (14.8 thousand units), the third – to Renault Logan (13.1 thousand units). Popular “Korean” cars - Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris (11.9 thousand and 11.8 thousand units respectively) entered the TOP-5 of the local car fleet.
