Chevrolet Niva sales in Russia increased 15 percent

For nine months of 2008 GM-AVTOVAZ produced 44112 Chevrolet Niva vehicles, up 11.2 percent from 2007.
GM-AVTOVAZ� SUV s sales grew up 11.7 percent to 43504 units for the reporting period. According to the analytical agency �AUTOSTAT� 39735 were sold on the local market, up 15.7 percent from 2007. But sales on the foreign markets fell 18.2 percent down and were 3769 units. This figure covered 8.7 percent of total sales volume of GM-AVTOVAZ.
From the beginning of the production GM-AVTOVAZ launched 278729 Chevrolet Niva SUVs and Viva sedans and sold 2278008 units, 25965 cars of which went for export.
Nowadays the company has 123 dealers in 81 Russian cities, 2 distributors and 8 dealers in CIS countries.
