Kazakhstan car market falls for the second month in a row


The fall of the car market in Kazakhstan continues for the second month in a row. This conclusion was made by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the preparation of the monthly survey "Market of vehicles in Kazakhstan". If in August the local car market fell by only 0.2%, then in September - already by 6%. At the same time, before, every month in 2021, the market only grew.

According to the agency's experts, for the first month of autumn, Kazakhstan citizens bought almost 9 thousand new cars. It is also interesting that in September the leader among brands in the market of Kazakhstan changed - this time it was the Korean Hyundai. Within a month, its products were sold in a circulation of 1,800 cars, which is 10% lower than in September of 2020. The former leader - Chevrolet (1,790 units; + 35%) - became the second, just slightly behind Hyundai.

The TOP-5 of brands also included Japanese Toyota (1,180 units; + 6%), Russian LADA (1040 units; -46%) and Korean Kia (750 units; + 63%). But the bestseller among the models in Kazakhstan is still the Chevrolet Cobalt sedan, which was purchased in the amount of 1,100 units in September. Hyundai Accent sedan with a result of 730 cars is the next. Cars of the LADA Granta family in the first autumn month were sold in the Kazakhstan market with a circulation of 500 units. Toyota Camry (440 units) lagged behind them, and LADA Vesta (300 units) finished the top-5.

By the results of 9 months of 2021, the Kazakhstan market shows the positive dynamics. From January to September, the residents of the neighboring country bought about 80 thousand new cars, which is 39% higher than in the same period of the previous year.
