According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in January - September 2021, 125.3 thousand new premium segment cars were sold in our country. This is 22.9% higher than for 9 months of last year.
More than a half of this volume (55%) accounted for the products of two German brands - BMW and Mercedes-Benz. So, according to the AEB, BMW's Russian sales in January-September were 35.5 thousand units, and Mercedes-Benz - 33.8 thousand units. The third place in the premium segment of the Russian car market is occupied by the Japanese Lexus (15.9 thousand units). The top-five of leaders is finishes by German Audi (13.9 thousand units) and Swedish Volvo (6.9 thousand units).
For other representatives of the premium segment, this figure was less than 5 thousand units. It is also worth noting that almost all premium brands (12 out of 13) are showing the growth in our market.
