Hyundai Solaris became the brand's bestseller in Russia in September


Russian Hyundai dealers sold 13,624 vehicles in September, which is 26% lower than a year before. Following the results of nine months of 2021, Hyundai sales in our country were 132,183 vehicles (+ 16%). According to the press service of Hyundai Motor CIS, the Hyundai Solaris sedan became the bestseller of the brand in September, sales of which grew by 16% and reached 6258 vehicles.

The second most popular crossover is Hyundai Creta compact crossover with 3851 sold units (-51%). The fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson crossover, which entered the Russian market at the end of May, found 1,577 buyers at the end of the previous month (-45%). This is followed by the updated crossover Hyundai Santa Fe, sales of which grew by 61% to 1,099 vehicles.

This time the Elantra sedan finishes the top five of Russian bestsellers of Hyundai, the result of which was 276 sold cars (-45%). As "AUTOSTAT" previously reported, in autumn Russian dealers are expected to have a Staria minivan, which will replace the previous generation of the H-1 model. In addition, Hyundai will start the sales of electric vehicles in Russia in mid-2022.

The first electric Hyundai model in the Russian market will be the Ioniq 5 crossover. The car will be offered only in an all-wheel drive version, while a rear-wheel drive version is available in other markets.
