Which Russian regions have more imported cars?

The largest fleet of imported cars is concentrated in Moscow and the Moscow region, but their share is highest in the Primorsky Territory. This was found out by the experts of the AUTOSTAT agency, having analyzed the structure of the passenger car fleet in the Russian Federation for the middle of 2021. So, in the capital of our country, cars that were produced abroad are registered in the amount of about 1.7 million units, which is 46.5% of the local fleet.

In the Moscow region, there are 1.1 million of them (share - 39.6%). The third place in this rating is occupied by the Primorsky Territory, in which there are 783.3 thousand imported cars, or 91.4% of the local park. In other words, 9 out of 10 cars in Primorye are imported from abroad. This is the highest share of "imports" in Russia, which, of course, is due to the arrival of "right-hand drive" units from neighboring Japan for many years.

Chukotka has the smallest fleet of imported cars (4.3 thousand units), but their share is still high there - 67.2%. At the same time, its lowest indicator was recorded in Chechnya - only 14.8%, i.e. this is almost every seventh car in the republic.
