TOP-5 of the most "female" and "male" cars of 2021


In 2021, the share of men was 67% of total new car sales to individuals. The share of women is two times lower - 33%. At the same time, the average age of male buyers is 46 years, and women - 43 years. This is evidenced by the statistics of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" by sex and age. The TOP-5 of the "most women cars" in 2021 looks as follows.

In first place there is the French compact crossover Citroen C3 Aircross (the share of female owners for this car was 88.2%). The second one is the “baby” of the Uzbek production Chevrolet Spark (78.1%). In third place there is the premium German crossover Mercedes-Benz GLA (75.5%). The fourth position with a minimum lag is occupied by the compact Japanese crossover Toyota C-HR (75.3%). And the luxury sports Porsche Macan finishes the top five (74.4%). In the "men's category" for the "cleanliness of the picture", we removed the pickups.

The first place was taken by the huge Chevrolet Tahoe, with a 90.9% share of male buyers. This fact confirms the classic phrase: "Size matters!" The second place is taken by the Russian UAZ "Hunter" (86.1%). The third place went to the French sedan Peugeot 408 (85.9%). The fourth place is rightfully taken by the Togliatti LADA Niva (85.4%), which drives well only in skillful male hands. Well, there are two cars at the bottom of our rating with the same percentage of male buyers: the premium all-terrain wagon Audi A4 Allroad Quattro and the affordable Chinese SUV Haval H5 (85.3% each).

Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" note that in the camp of men's cars there is a very tight struggle for leadership percentages - more than 30 models have a share of male buyers over 80%.
