Avtotor plans to start the production of electric vehicles in 2023

Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor" plans to start the production of electric vehicles and components, which, among other things, will be exported. Cars and light commercial vehicles of our own design will appear in 2023, the first 200 units will be produced. Sales will begin in August 2024; the retail price of an electric car should be up to 1.5 million rubles, according to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In 2024, the first electric vehicles for people with limited mobility will be produced. As a part of the addition to a special investment contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the government of the Kaliningrad region, Avtotor will increase investments by 20 billion rubles. Thus, the actual cost of the obligations implementing under the SPIC will be 32 billion rubles.
