AVTOVAZ disclosed details about the new LADA Niva

The next generation all-wheel drive SUV LADA Niva, which will debut at the end of 2024, will be built on the basis of the new Dacia Duster (in Russia, the model is presented under the Renault brand). The new products will be based on the modular platform CMF-B, on which the new Dacia Bigster crossover will be based, the premiere of which is expected in 2025.

Following the classic version of Niva, a long-wheelbase version of the model called Grand Niva will be presented, which will debut until 2026. This was informed by the president of AVTOVAZ Nicolas Maure. According to him, both Russian models will be available in Europe. According to the head of AVTOVAZ, the price of the new LADA Niva will be from 12 thousand euros (from about 1 million rubles at the current exchange rate), depending on the configuration.

The price for the "Niva" with an increased wheelbase will start at 20 thousand Euros (about 1.7 million rubles). Nicolas Maure also stressed that the upcoming Niva will have the same cross-country ability as the Land Rover Defender. In turn, the director of the Dacia-LADA division Denis Le Vot said that the new Russian SUVs could seriously increase the export of AVTOVAZ. According to him, the volume of car deliveries to Western countries will increase from the current 40 thousand to 100 thousand cars per a year.
