Hyundai reveals new electric Ioniq models

Hyundai has revealed plans to develop its electric Ioniq brand. The starting point was the Ioniq 5 electric hatchback, which will appear in the Russian market in mid-2022. In the near future, the Ioniq 6 sedan will join the model line, and in 2024 the Ioniq 7 SUV will be presented, which will become the flagship of the brand's carbon-free model range.

All Ioniq vehicles will be built on the modular E-GMP architecture. The flagship Ioniq 7 SUV will be powered by two electric engines, new SK Innovation 100 kWh batteries and an all-wheel drive system. The output of the power plant will be 308 hp, the cruising range is about 500 km without recharging. The exclusive design of the Ioniq 7 will be in line with Hyundai's proprietary solutions. Despite its impressive size, the SUV will receive a smooth silhouette thanks to the sloping roofline and massive windshield.

In addition, the electric car will lack the usual radiator grille - instead, there will be a solid LED strip across the entire width of the body with vertical LED blocks on the bumper. Square arches and futuristic rims will complement the unusual image of the car. We also add that since 2040, Hyundai plans to make the all-electric brand in most of the global markets. And by 2045, the brand will be producing exclusively carbon neutral vehicles.
