Ukrainian market has a crisis of automotive crediting

Tougher conditions of banks when giving the credit, rise of rates, growth of the first instalment, everything influenced the volumes of automotive crediting in Ukraine.
As AUTO Consulting reports, in August there was established a 13% decline of given automotive credits, even on the background of hard July. Some other segments simply fell on 50% and more. The banks managed to lend not more than 276 mln euro for the automotive market. This is almost on 60 mln euro less than during the first months of 2008.
The situation is being improved by cash money, because the share of automotive crediting is falling at the market. Now only 39% of cars in Ukraine are bought on credit. Of course, the automotive market could not ignore the decrease of financing and started to stagnate.
The buyers of inexpensive cars form countries of CIS (ZAZ and Lada) felt the lack of means and tougher conditions of banks. The number of refusals was the highest possible here. As a result, over one third of buyers were obliged to say good bye to dream about the new car. Banks and small businessmen were also in the same situation: 22% of all cases were refusals.
AUTO Consulting reports that the further trend of giving the credits would fall. The segment of inexpensive cars will be influenced most of all. The lowest number of credits during all the year is fixed in August. The dealers of Lada, Daewoo and ZAZ were influenced by this most of all, as well as Mazda, Peugeot, Citroen and the unofficial automotive salons of Lexus. However, on the background of overall decline, the dealers of Hyundai show a two times growth of sales on credit; a range of salons managed to offer good conditions and loyal politics and the number of credit bargains grew by 60 75%.
