Anvis Group will build a new autocomponent plant in Togliatti

On September 17 Anvis Rus Co. (WOCO) began building a plant in Togliatti (Russia) that will produce vibration components for automotive engineering. Start of production on the new plant is scheduled on the third quarter of 2009. But since January 2009 Anvis Rus Co. will start producing components in Togliatti on temporary facilities. At the first stage (there will be three stages) the initial capacity will provide annual turnover of $25 million.
The new plant will produce engine bearings, shock mounts, silencer supports and other components. The target consumer of these components will be AVTOVAZ. Anvis Rus Co. and the Russian automaker have already signed the contracts under which Anvis will develop and produce some components for Lada Priora, Lada Kalina, Lada 4x4 (Niva) and prospective model 2116. Besides, Anvis will cooperate with GAZ Group on the new model Volga Siber. The component company is also negotiating with other Russian automakers GM-AVTOVAZ (Togliatti), Sollers (Elabuga) and Volkswagen (Kaluga).
Woco Michelin AVS B.V. (WMAVS) was established in 2000 as a joint-venture of WOCO group and Michelin. In November 2007 the company was renamed into Anvis Group. It specializes in production and development of CAD systems and vibration components. Anvis is among the European market leaders in this sector with a market share of approx. 10% and is well positioned in fast growing areas, such as Asia and South America, with further potential e.g. in India as well as in Russia.
