AVTOVAZ spoke about its plans to localize new LADA models

The localization level of LADA cars currently ranges from 50 to 90%, depending on the model. The use of the new CMF-B platform in the future model range will make this share more even for all vehicles - about 75%.

This was stated by the president of AVTOVAZ, Nicolas Maure. “Future promising areas of localization are, for example, the development of automatic transmission technologies; there are great prospects for the use of local technologies in other areas. For example, according to the 719th decree, we have serious intentions to localize electronic components and elements of multimedia systems. There are already several companies in Russia that are ready to supply such components, and we are ready to attract new ones as well,” said the head of AVTOVAZ.

As a reminder, in January 2021, Renault Group created a new business unit Dacia-LADA as a part of the new strategic plan Renaulution, which will strengthen the production synergies between brands through the use of a highly competitive and flexible CMF-B platform in combination with a high localization factor.
