AVTOVAZ announces a new LADA family

Within the next four years, AVTOVAZ plans to introduce five new LADA vehicles, as well as new Renault models. This was announced by Nicolas Maure in his video message on the occasion of AVTOVAZ  55th  anniversary, having mentioned  the next generation Niva SUV and “an absolutely new family of B-segment ”among the new products.

The last is probably the next generation LADA Granta. Other novelties from the announced five, most likely, will be the new C-class crossover, as well as the restyled Vesta, which will enter the market in 2022, writes Autonews.ru.  We should remind that in January 2021, under the new strategic plan Renaulution, Renault Group established a new business subdivision Dacia-LADA, which will strengthen production synergy between the brands by using the highly competitive and flexible CMF-B platform in combination with the highest localization rate.

AVTOVAZ and Dacia will remain independent companies with their own history and strategy, which together will produce more than 1 million vehicles on CMF-B platform annually, moving from 4 platforms to one and reducing the number of body types from 18 to 11. Two new Renault products in the Russian market will be the Logan and the Sandero. The company has recently patented the exterior of the sedan and the hatchback at the Federal Institute for Industrial Property (FIPS).

As previously reported, Renault also plans to enter new segments and launch a new C-class model by 2025. In addition, the company is considering the possibility of electric vehicle sales in Russia.
