Over 35% of Mitsubishi vehicles were sold on credit in the first half year

In first half of 2021, MC Bank Rus issued 9.5 thousand credits for new and used vehicles; 3.4 thousand of them (36%) were new Mitsubishi vehicles. The bank's credit share in the sales of new Mitsubishi vehicles in the period under review was 37%, which is 4% more than for the same period last year, the press service of the credit organization reports.

At the same time, the Outlander crossover remains the most popular model sold on credit in MC Bank Rus with 76% share of credit sales of new Mitsubishi vehicles. As AUTOSTAT reported previously, in January-June 2021, Mitsubishi dealers in Russia sold 12,072 vehicles, which is 4% more than for the same period last year. The Outlander crossover remains the bestseller of Mitsubishi in the Russian market, with 7,503 vehicles (+ 16%) sold in the first half of the year.

The Mitsubishi ASX compact crossover became the second most popular Mitsubishi model with 2,044 vehicles sold (+ 47%). The L200 pickup took the third place in the ranking with 920 vehicles (+ 19%). Thus, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV was out of the TOP-3 in the period under review. According to Osamu Iwaba, MMC Rus President and CEO, this is because it has recently got a number of significant changes and went to the dealer centers only at the beginning of June. Since March, when the dealers started taking orders for the new model, the company has seen great customers’ interest in the updated SUV.

Therefore, very soon, in the opinion of the head of MMC Rus, it will regain its place in the TOP-3 Mitsubishi bestsellers. We should also mention that in July, Russian dealers got the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander crossover, whose exterior and interior were updated. The novelty is offered with eight packages from 1.889 million rubles.
