The GAZelle NEXT hydrogen electric prepared to be launched in Germany

The joint project of GAZ Group and Elektro-Fahrzeuge Stuttgart GmbH  company (Germany) will soon add its model lineup with a new product. Two years ago, due to German-Russian cooperation, electric vehicles based on the GAZelle NEXT trucks, vans and buses were launched in Germany, and now a hydrogen-powered version for road construction in the Esslingen region is being prepared. The hydrogen version has one major advantage over an electric vehicle without fuel cells - the cruising range will now be increased from 200 to 500 km.

Therefore, it is already clear that Germany will not stop at just one product due to green transport struggle. Most likely, a whole lineup of commercial vehicles working on the same principle as the pilot version will be designed at the joint venture.  As for the technical characteristics of the GAZelle NEXT hydrogen electric vehicle, it is known today that it will be based on 4.6-ton chassis with a double cabin. The equipment will include fuel cells, a hydrogen storage and supply system, traction batteries and an electric motor.

The new project provides additional export opportunities for GAZ Group and empowers environmentally friendly technology, which has already proven its reliability, working in Berlin, Stuttgart and other cities, for Germany.
