KIA begins the brand transformation process in Russia


KIA Russia & CIS announced the beginning of the transformation of the KIA brand in Russia and the markets of the CIS countries. The first step was the announcement of the new name of the company - KIA Russia & CIS (KIA Russia and CIS). Also the new slogan ("Movement that inspires") and the company logo are presented, which from July 1st will be used in all communication channels of the brand in Russia and the markets of the CIS countries.

In Russia, the first model with a new logo will be the updated Cerato sedan, which will enter the Russian market in September 2021. Until the end of 2021, other 11 KIA models presented in the Russian market will be updated in accordance with the new logo. The first completely new model in the Russian market, with a new logo and created as part of the new design concept of Opposites United, will be the fifth generation Sportage crossover in Russia in the first half of 2022. At the same time, KIA plans to make car multimedia systems more accessible and wider.

The first KIA model equipped with the factory's KIA Connect telematics complex will be the redesigned Cerato sedan. KIA Mobility subscription program, renamed KIA Flex, will enter a new stage of development. In the autumn of 2020, Russia, along with Italy, became a pilot market, where KIA subscription service began the functioning. The first 10 months of the program's operation have demonstrated successful results and the demand for service among customers in Russia: dealers received 5,300 subscription applications. Since July 1st, 2021, the regions of presence of the subscription service have been expanded: in addition to Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Obninsk, Bryansk, Simferopol, the service has become available in Sevastopol and Smolensk.

In the autumn of 2021, KIA Flex users will be able to form independently their own tariff plan, depending on the duration of the lease, vehicle configuration, additional equipment, average monthly mileage and the chosen insurance plan. During 2022, the program will be presented in all cities with a population over one million in Russia. In addition, KIA plans to enter the Russian market for a new generation of electric vehicles.
