Car tires: car owners' preferences" conducted a survey on the choice and operation of winter tires. The results of a survey that was conducted in November showed that 94.2% of respondents “change” their tires for the winter ones and only 5.8% do not have a second set of tires.

Used car market grew 1.5 times in May

In the last month of spring, the secondary market in Russia showed an increase of 1.5 times. So, according to the agency "AUTOSTAT", in May Russians purchased 465.4 thousand used cars. This is 53% higher than the same month in 2020.

According to the agency's experts, the continuing low comparative base continues to contribute to market growth. Recall that in May of the previous year, there were still some restrictions introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic, which affected directly the car market.

Almost all brands in the secondary market show positive dynamics. Thus, the volume of purchases of used LADA cars in May increased by 43% to 107.6 thousand units. For the Japanese brand Toyota, this figure was 46%, and the volume of the secondary market was 50.9 thousand units. Korean Hyundai and KIA models that have almost the same results (27.1 thousand and 27 thousand units), have even higher growth - by 70% and 76%, respectively. The volume of purchases of used Nissan cars grew by 47% in May (up to 25.8 thousand units). Thus, these five leading brands accounted for more than a half (51%) of the entire secondary passenger car market in May.

As for the results of 5 months of 2021, during this period the volume of the secondary market in our country was 2.26 million units. And this is 28% higher than in January - May of the previous year.
