Hyundai will present Ioniq 5 electric crossover in the first half of 2022. This was announced by Alexey Kalitsev, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor CIS, specifying that the car will only be offered in an all-wheel drive version, while a rear-wheel drive version is available in other markets. According to him, Ioniq 5 will most likely be distributed only by subscription Hyundai Mobility.

Recall that the world premiere of the new mid-size crossover Ioniq 5 took place in February 2021. It is built on the E-GMP global electric modular platform specially designed for battery electric vehicles. The exterior of the Ioniq 5 echoes the design of the company's first serial car, Hyundai Pony. The front bumper features by distinctive V-shaped elements with ingeniously shaped integrated daytime running lights to maximize the Ioniq 5's visibility on the road.

The Living Space concept is embodied in every detail of the car's interior design. The Ioniq 5 is equipped with the next generation Hyundai SmartSense driver assistance systems.

The Ioniq 5 is offered with a range of two electric batteries with a capacity of 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, as well as two electric engine layouts: one engine on the rear axle or two engines - front and rear. All powerplant options allow the car to reach a top speed of 185 km / h. The maximum range of the rear-wheel drive Ioniq 5, equipped with a 72.6 kWh battery, is 470-480 km on a single charge.
