Mitsubishi Motors says goodbye finally to the Pajero SUV - the automaker has announced the release of the last lot of the fourth generation model (factory code - V80). This generation has been produced since 2006, but in reality it is a modernized version of the 1999 Pajero V60, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Mitsubishi Motors' Sakahogi plant has produced 800 of the latest Pajero SUVs in a special Final Edition configuration and exported these vehicles in full to Australia.

Under the bonnet, they have a 3.2-liter turbodiesel with 189 hp and a torque of 441 Nm, aggregated with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Recall that in the Japanese market the final lot of Pajero was sold in the spring of 2019, in Russia - in October of the same year. Australia was the last country to offer this model. Pajero has been in the Mitsubishi range since 1981, and over 40 years of production, the total output of models of all four generations has been more than 3.3 million units.

The legendary name is now used only by the smaller frame-mounted Pajero Sport SUV. It is worth noting that Pajero SUV has been one of the five most popular Mitsubishi models since the brand entered the Russian market in 1991.
