Stellantis has increased sales in Russia by 83% since the beginning of the year


According to the results of four months of 2021, the Stellantis concern sold 5170 vehicles in Russia (brands: Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Jeep, Fiat Professional), which is 83% higher than the indicator for the same period of last year.

As a result, the share of all brands of the concern in the Russian car market was 1.0% against 0.7% a year before, according to the AEB. As noted, Stellantis showed the highest sales growth among the groups of automakers in Russia. Peugeot became the leader in the structure of Stellantis brands, by increasing sales 2.2 times to 2,468 cars, the press service of the automaker reports.

The best-selling passenger models in the brands are: Peugeot Traveler (sales growth by 91%), CitroenSpaceTourer (+ 92%). Opel is actively increasing sales thanks to the expansion of the model range and the growth of the dealer network, and the bestseller of the brand is Opel Zafira Life with a 59% share in the total sales volume. It is noteworthy that April was the best month for sales of JeepWrangler over the last 5 years, sales of this SUV grew by 65% over the four months of this year. As for the commercial line of the Stellantis concern, the Peugeot Partner van, which began sales in December of the previous year, has taken a confident leading position in its segment among foreign manufacturers.

Sales of the Fiat Professional commercial line grew by 51% in compare with January-April of 2020. It is also worth noting that all sales leaders of Peugeot, Citroen and Opel brands are of local production. The production volumes of cars of these brands at the PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga grew 2.8 times for four months of 2021.
