In the Russian Federation more than a half of sold vehicles occupied by SUV segment

At the end of the 1st quarter of 2021, 183.3 thousand crossovers and SUVs were sold in Russia. As the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted (with reference to the data of the AEB), the share of the SUV segment belonged to more than a half (50.4%) of the total number of sold new passenger cars. 28% of all sold crossovers and SUVs belonged to Japanese brands, 21% - to Korean ones. The share of German SUVs was 14.5% of such cars, or almost every seventh. But every tenth is a "Chinese". The share of Russian SUV brands was 9.5% in Q1. French crossovers occupied 9% of the SUV market, Czech ones - 5%. For British, Swedish and American brands, this figure was no more than 1%.
