Russian plant Haval plans to double the production in 2021


Haval plans to double the production of cars at its plant in the Tula region in 2021. This was stated by the President of Haval in Russia, Zhang Junxue. Meanwhile, in early April, the main construction work began at the site of the Haval automobile engine plant in the Uzlovaya industrial park. Investments in the project will be about 4 billion rubles.

The planned production capacity of the new engine plant will be 80,000 units per a year. The project will be built in two stages, the first of which will be an engine assembly workshop with an area of over 3000 sq. m. The plant will assemble engines for more than 90% of Haval vehicles in Russia. Recall that today the Haval model range in the Russian market includes F7 and F7x crossovers and H5 and H9 frame SUVs, which are produced at the company's plant in the Tula region.

Earlier, the company also began the production of the new Haval Jolion compact crossover, which will go on sale in late spring of 2021. In general, in the next three years, Haval plans to present five new models in the Russian market. According to unofficial data, in addition to Haval Jolion, the third generation H6 SUV will appear in our country in 2021. Meanwhile, earlier Haval Company presented to Russian dealers two new off-road vehicles BigDog and WeyTank, which, according to sources, can get be on the assembly line of the Russian Haval plant approximately in 2023.
